Our Physical Education Program

Beyond the regular school day, our toddlers and preschool students participate in physical education. BMSS offers all Toddler and preschoolers a Physical Education Program that helps them develop their gross motor and coordination skills.

In our Physical Education Program our children learn to:
  • Walk in a straight line
  • Walk backwards
  • Jump forwards and backwards
  • Climb stairs
  • Throw, catch, bounce, kick a ball, etc.

Physical fitness as we all know reduces sedentary behavior, thus reducing physical obesity in children. It is recommended that children get at least 1 hour of physical activities daily. In addition, Mrs. Erica Douglass, throughout her yoga classes teaches our toddlers and preschool students to learn how to relax, inhale, exhale and get in touch with their inner self.
