Visit our Campus
Following the initial inquiry, parents are asked to directly download our admissions packet from the website. The next step is to schedule a tour and an interview with the family. Tours are most often scheduled while school is in session. An admission representative meets with each family and conducts the interview. We welcome applications from all interested families. Our admission process is guided by the Montessori philosophy, which in essence is to create an environment that fosters and serves each child individually. As such, we appreciate the inherent difference among families and believe that such differences become inspirational to all. All classes are multi-age, and the school will make every reasonable effort to balance each class with respect to age and gender. We accept children from toddlers to preschool and diversify our student body across racial, cultural, ethnic, religious, social, and economic lines.
Admissions Procedure
Our admissions procedure begins with learning about the family. Our main goal is to ensure that our educational objectives and goals are similar. Families are expected to work with the school in a spirit of collaboration that will support their child and the school’s mission. Acceptance and admission are based on the appropriateness of the school for each individual student and family. In order to start the admission procedure, the Online inquiry form must be submitted electronically. Once received, we will respond timely to schedule a family visit with the head of school and Executive Director. This family interview allows us to share the goals, practices, and policies of the school. In return, we expect to learn about your family’s goals and your child’s specific needs. During this visit, the admission application will be completed with a non-refundable application fee. The Application Fee is $525 per child. A follow-up interview will be scheduled for the child/children solely with the classroom teacher. A decision letter will then be sent to your residence and also emailed to the parents and or guardians.
Acceptance to BMSS
Upon receipt of the decision letter, parents must accept or refuse to join BMSS within three business days. If you do not reply accordingly, the offered spot will be deferred to another candidate. Acceptance of placement in the program is confirmed by the submission of a signed admission contract and a tuition deposit in the amount of $3,500.00. This deposit is non-refundable and is applied towards your child’s tuition. No student is considered enrolled until the funds are received. A yearly renewal commitment letter is sent home in January and is due upon receipt so we can accommodate other candidates.
