Dress Code

The purpose of a dress code is to minimize the influence of superficial matters in a Montessori community that places high value on the healthy development of mind, body, and spirit. A standard of appearance emphasizes the seriousness of our Montessori mission.

Dress Code for Boys

  • Shirts with collars or turtle necks – must be tucked in; no “T” shirts
  • Khaki, corduroy, or dress pants, preferably with a belt but without cargo pockets or extra loops
  • No sweatshirt; outerwear may not be worn while in class
  • Socks and properly-fitted shoes – no boots, hiking shoes, or sneakers
  • All boys must wear the navy blue sweater with the school emblem

 

Dress Code for Girls

  • Navy blue school jumper available from Land’s End
  • Shirts with collars, blouses, or turtlenecks; nothing sleeveless
  • No sweatshirt; outerwear may not be worn while in class
  • Tights, ankle socks, or kneesocks
  • During the colder months, the girls may wear leggings under their jumpers.
  • All girls must wear the navy blue cardigan with the school emblem

 

Uniform is available at Land’s End

Programs

School Inquiry

We accept students from 14 months to 9 years old.

BMSS offers an authentic Montessori Education to the following age groups:

  • Toddlers from 14 Months to 3 years old
  • Primary/Children House from 3 to 6 years old 
  • Lower Elementary Program for Students 6 to 9 years old

Our students are taught in Both French and English. Bilingual Montessori School of Sharon is a French Bilingual School.

The Bilingual Montessori School of Sharon offers a summer program. 

The majority of faculty and staff have earned a Master’s degree.  Moreover, all lead teachers hold Montessori Certification AMI or AMS.
